Johnny Burke and Scott Hommel started playing together in Invisible Republic in 2002. Brian Mirsch and Scott started playing together in The Cheaters in 2011. Johnny, Brian, and Scott joined forces in 2022 to create Big Rig Bender, a blues-country-rock trio that began playing festivals and bars in the DMV area.

Now with Kevin Messercola on drums and Bill Kowalski on bass, Big Rig Bender is a thundering blues rock four-piece, with Scott and Johnny trading solos over the tight rhythms of Bill and Kevin. With setlists that include blues standards, classic rock covers, and blues-rock originals, BRB is the perfect soundtrack for a night of drinkin' and dancing!
